Verdict: The Ivanky MacBook Pro Docking Station is a versatile and capable little dock for a specific range of Mac laptops. We just have to hope Apple doesn’t change its port configurations or spacings. That said, this is a dock that’s designed to be used with a specific range of Mac laptops, so I guess that won’t be an issue for everyone. I would have preferred to see a removable cable with a USB-C port so that the dock could be used with a single port Mac.
One other minor criticism is the cable that goes from a two-port socket at one end to being hard wired into the dock at the other end. The Ivanky dock can connect to multiple devices at USB 3.0 speeds of up to 5Gbps.
